BOARDMAN

Adria Powell led the Eagles (2-0, 2-0 All-American Conference Red) with 27 kills and 10 digs. Annie Zagorec made 10 kills while Ruthie Sandberg contributed 10 digs and 12 points. Kristen Fahndrich made 22 digs and scored 14 points while Athena Smith made eight kills and two blocks. For the Spartans (3-1, 1-1), Kaylin Burkey had 12 kills, 19 digs and three aces while Haley Blangero made seven kills and 15 digs. Ashley Clark made 20 assists, eight digs, seven kills and three aces.

Poland 25-25-25, Warren Harding 13-7-7

POLAND

Jillian Penman scored nine aces and made six kills for the Bulldogs. Jen Eich contributed six aces, 10 assists and five kills while Carrigan Sundstrom scored five aces. Shelby Berend made seven kills.

HOWLAND

Melanie Bakes scored 12 points with two aces and made 38 assists while McKatla Trebella contributed 11 points, 17 kills and 23 digs for the Indians (3-2), Carlie Angelo made 13 kills while Natalie Pallone made five blocks. For the Tigers (4-3), Faith Grant scored 14 points and made 23 kills and four blocks. Cassie Murcko made 22 kills, four blocks and 17 digs while Kathryn Summerfield made 32 assists. Julia Gray made 30 digs. JV: Girard won.

NILES

Taylor Shaner had 20 points, four digs and three kills for the Red Dragons (3-1). Emma Dellinger made 10 kills while Myah Busse contributed six kills and five aces. Jane Parry made 24 assists. For the Panthers, Ke’Asia Spikes made four digs, two kills, five assists and four blocks. Jaira Murray had five digs and two aces. JV: Niles, 25-15, 25-14.

Newton Falls 25-25-25, LaBrae 5-11-7

NEWTON FALLS

Izzy Kline made eight kills and eight blocks and scored 13 points to lead the Tigers (5-0). Elizabeth Boone scored 20 points and made 23 assists while Autumn Hutson made 13 digs. Olivia Hedge contributed six kills, six digs and 12 points. JV: Newton Falls, 25-22, 25-23.

CAMPBELL

Melina Manning led the Leopards with nine kills, three digs, an assist and a service ace. Danielle Evans had seven kills, seven digs and an ace. Lana Adi dished out 12 assists and two digs.

Brookfield 25-25-25, Champion 23-21-18

CHAMPION

Bailey Drapola put up a double double of 17 kills and 12 digs. Tori Sheehan added 13 kills and a team-high eight blocks. Champion’s Summer Fassnacht led her team with six kills and 14 assists.

YOUNGSTOWN

Bonnie Flynn made 23 kills and 32 digs while Hannah Brandenstein made 20 assists and seven digs for the Lions (3-6). Joanna Bells scored eight points and made 17 digs. JV: Ursuline won.

Sara Chaszeyka made 22 kills while Lyndsey made 11 for the Tigers. Marian Johnson contributed 15 kills and seven digs while Morgan Santangelo scored 11 points. Makenzy Capoullez scored 10 points and Kaelen Yemma made 54 assists.

Anna Bodo made 12 kills and two blocks while Delaney Schumacher had seven aces and six assists. Emma Eickoff made three kills and scored five aces.

Emily Emen made seven kills and scored five aces for the Rebels. MacKenzie Daub contributed six kills while Haley Eskra made 16 assists and scored four aces. Alyssa Anderson made four kills and four blocks for the Rockets (0-4). Alaya Chavers made three kills and four blocks. JV: Crestview, 25-10, 25-23.

LOUISVILLE

Natalie Zuchowski had nine kills in a losing effort for West Branch. Elise Wallace dished out 13 assists and along with Whitney Wallace had nine digs each.

CANFIELD

Justin Montazeri led the Cardinals (2-0) with a hat trick and an assist. R.J. Thomas scored twice. Matt Beck and Alec Simone each found the net once. Defenseman Sam Accordino had two assists and Tanner English and Jack Villano had one helper. Goalie Jad Saleh made three saves. Jeffrey Holnes made two saves for Boardman (0-3-1).

Trey Medvec scored for the Bulldogs on an assist from Reed McCreery. Goalkeeper Harrison Walkman made three saves. For the Eagles, Khaled Kassem scored on a penalty kick and Anthony Corrin made seven saves,

EAST FAIRFIELD

Connor McKee and Logan Murphy gave the Quakers a 2-0 lead. Crestview’s Scott Murray and Mitch Lindsay tied the game with a goal apiece. Crestview goaltender Costen Santelmo made nine saves.

NEWTON FALLS

Lexi Gruver and Sophia D’urso each scored for the Golden Flashes while Carli Swipas and Alayna Fell assisted on the goals in Wednesday’s game. Molly Williams had eight saves in the shutout while Micaiah Butler had 14 saves for the Tigers.

Niles 2, Lakeview 0

CORTLAND

Niles’ (2-0-1) Renee Meser and Isabella Reigle each scored a goal in Wednesday’s game. Hannah Ward and Alyssa Steffey assisted a goal a piece. Alivia Whisler made five saves for the Red Dragons and Lakeview’s (0-2) Miranda Meffe made six in defeat.
