Queen McCaskey | Stewart Franklin
Queen Yvonne McCaskey and Stewart Phillip Franklin were married at 2 p.m. Sept. 3 by the Rev. Kenneth Eldridge at Fellowship Tabernacle Christian Center. The bride is the daughter of Byrdell Hill of Youngstown and the late Oscar Hill Sr. The groom is the son of the late Minnie Ella Franklin.
A reception followed the ceremony at the Byzantine Center at the Grove, and the couple traveled to Niagara Falls and Canada for their wedding trip. They reside in Youngstown.
The bride wore a champagne-colored jeweled gown with a matching lace veil.
Honor attendants were Natashia McCaskey, daughter of the bride, and Patricia Farris, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Addie Franklin, Phyllis Franklin, To’Nyshia McClendon, Melissa Franklin, Pamela Brown, Roxanne Phillips, Nadine Williams, Karen McDonald, Cecilia Daniels and Tracey German. The flower girls were Kaleya Dooley and Nevaeh Franklin, a niece of the groom. The attendants wore concord-plum colored dresses.
Tony Williams, brother of the groom, and Lewis Daniels, shared the duties of the best man. The groomsmen were Anthony Carr and Damon Carr, cousins of the groom; Rodell Franklin and Nelson Franklin, nephews of the groom; Art Jones and Bernard Jones, cousins of the groom; Marvin Kennedy, brother-in-law of the groom; Michael McClendon; Randy Hill; and Bobby Joe Davis. The ring bearer was Cameron Graham, great-nephew of the groom.
Ushers were Kenyen Franklin, great-nephew of the groom; Caleb and Bryson Hill, nephews of the bride; and Demetrius Flennory, nephew of the bride. Terrence McCaskey, son of the bride, escorted her down the aisle.
The groom is employed by the Mahoning Board of Developmental Disabilities in Boardman.
The bride retired as regional acting manager for Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in Atlanta, Ga.
