Vice Presidential debate (9 p.m.): Vice presidential candidates Tim Kaine (D) and Mike Pence (R) face off in their only debate. The showdown, aired live from Longwood University in Virginia, will be moderated by Elaine Quijano of CBS News, on the major networks and cable news channels.

“No Tomorrow” (9 p.m., The CW): In the fun new dramedy “No Tomorrow,” a shy wallflower (Tori Anderson) falls for a free-spirited hunk (Joshua Sasse) who wants her to live life to the fullest because he thinks the world will soon end. Is he bonkers? Does it matter?

Packard band marks anniversary


The W.D. Packard Concert Band will perform its 61st anniversary concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at W.D. Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. Admission is free.

Conductor Stephen L. Gage will lead a program featuring Verdi’s “Manzoni Requiem” and a medley of music from Broadway’s “Les Miserables.”

The concert will begin with the fanfare “A Vision and a Dream,” commissioned by the band in 2008 by composer Ryan Nowlin, followed by “March: Anniversary,” “An American Spectacular,” “Instant Concert” and “Rollo Takes A Walk.” A medley of the big band music of Glen Miller, “In A Miller Mood,” and a march sequence, “Pasodoble: Gerona,” and “His Honor” with a percussion interlude by band member Ken Alexander will close out the concert.

Pumpkin Fest at Volant shops


Pumpkin Fest will be Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days, in the town of Volant. There will be a farmers’ market, handmade artisan show, music and many varieties of pumpkin foods and drinks.

There will be music by Rick Bruening from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Volant Mills and a chili cook-off at the Volant Fire Department from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Visitors can decorate a pumpkin at Knockin’ Noggin for $8 and view Wares by the Water craft show at Volant Mills.

Belly dance class


Elliptica Dance Studio will host a free 90-minute introductory belly dance class at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Status Event Planning and Party Room, 129 E. North St. It’s open to women of all ages, shapes, sizes and cultures.

Donations will benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation. No dance experience necessary. For information, call 724-510-7006.
