ELECTION RESULTS | Some glitches with Trumbull voting machines


Glitches with Trumbull County's electronic voting machines were fairly typical today, with a couple of machines needing to be replaced, Alan shaker, the elections board's deputy director, said.

It is typical for a couple of machines to be out of calibration each election, which results in a voter pressing on the touch screen but finding that the wrong candidate was selected, Shaker said.

Usually the problem doesn't result in a voter actually voting for someone unintended, he said. The voter usually realizes the problem and it gets corrected.
