Old Dominion to play Stambaugh


Old Dominion will come to Stambaugh Auditorium on Feb. 16.

Tickets range from $30 to $40 (plus fees; $129 for VIP seats) and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at, by phone at 330-259-0555 and at the Stambaugh box office, 1000 Fifth Ave.

The rising country music band’s hits include “Dirt on a Road,” “Nowhere Fast,” “Break Up with Him” and “Song for Another Time.” The five-member band is nominated for two Country Music Awards (CMA) including Best New Artist and Vocal Group of the Year.

Guitar studio to give recital


The guitar studio of Dana School of Music, directed by Francois Fowler, will present a free recital at 7:30 tonight in Bliss Recital Hall, on the first floor of Bliss Hall.

The program will be an eclectic mix from composers as diverse as Herbie Hancock, Sonny Rollins, Charlie Parker and Johann Sebastian Bach.

Day of meditation at yoga center


A Moment for Me Yoga Center, 8309 High St., will offer a day of guided meditation from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday. The meditations are designed to help participants get in touch with their inner spiritual self. No previous experience with meditation is needed. Cost is $25.
