Comprehensive Physician Associates LLC, a family-practice office located in Liberty, recently announced the addition of Dr. Ayan Sanyal.
Dr. Sanyal is board certified in family medicine and has a special interest in pediatrics, obstetrics and psychiatry. He studied health promotion at the University of Houston Honors College and received both his doctor of medicine and master of public health degrees from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies.
He completed his family medicine residency in Youngstown at ValleyCare Northside Medical Center, where he served as its chief resident. He is a new member of the residency teaching faculty.
Shelby Dofka, a 2011 graduate of Boardman High School, has graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in chemical engineering. She will be employed by Toyota in Georgetown, Ky.
The 10th Annual Barbara Donaho Distinguished Leadership in Learning Awards Ceremony recently took place at the Kent State Student Center Ballroom. Kent State University’s College of Nursing hosted the Diamond Anniversary Celebration with nearly 200 people in attendance, including award recipients, guests, faculty and staff.
Among this year’s recipients was Nancy Keslar from the Pediatric Associates of Youngstown. She was recognized for generously donating her time to help mentor, train and advance the knowledge of Kent State’s nursing students in clinical settings.
