Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935, Bishop Franzetta Assembly Fourth Degree, will sponsor a roast beef dinner at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 122 S. State St., Girard. Doors will open at 5 p.m. The meal includes mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, dinner roll, dessert and coffee. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. The menu will include salad, dessert and coffee. The prices are $11 for adults and $6 for children. Barbecued lamb and pork also will be available. Containers will be provided for takeout orders. The Night Owls, a group of young tamburitzans, will provide musical entertainment during the dinner; a fee of $3 will help defray the cost of orchestras in both the hall and pavilion. Also for sale will be homemade apple strudel, cherry strudel and raised doughnuts. No advance orders will be taken. Sales are first-come, first-serve.
