Trey Richards scored four goals, Danny Linebaugh had two an T.J. Gaydosh and Malin Gomann also scored for the Rams. Defenders Gage Hostetler, Ally Ward and Anthony Testa made it difficult for Leetonia to get near the goal as evidenced by the fact that Rams goalkeeper Will Cupan only had to make three saves.

Maplewood 4, Badger 1


Tommy Rink scored three goals and Michael Stamm added another as the Rockets (4-0) remained unbeaten by winning a Northeastern Athletic Conference match. Thomas Dorsey added an assist for Maplewood and goalie Seth Spencer made three saves for the Rockets.


Salem 4, Ursuline 3


Mary Doublescored two goals, Lydie McKee and Leila Bailey added goals and Katelin Chilton had two assists as the Quakers beat the Cardinals at the YSU Soccer Complex. Jen Wooford scored two goals for Ursuline and Taylor Tomlinson had the other, assisted by Gigi Hitchcock. Salem’s Katie Moore had three saves. Ursuline’s Jordyn Keneally made four saves.

South Range 9, Columbiana 0


Casey Lindstrom led the Raiders (3-1-1) with six goals and two assists, setting South Range’s record for goals and points in a game. Caragyn Yanek, Lillian Kimpel and Rachel Maynard also scored goals.

Springfield 3, United 0


Cierra Latronica scored two goals and assisted on Laurel Blakeman’s goal as the Tigers beat the Golden Eagles. Lex Slike made five saves for Springfield and Haleigh Anderson had 14 for United.

Hubbard 8, Girard 1


Marissa Grande led the Eagles with five goals and two assists and Maria Atsas, Emma Wukelich and Cortney Mackay each added goals. Lily Sinopoli had three assists and Atsas, Cassidy Costick, Leslie Summers and Lily Sinopoli also had assists. Hubbard’s Lea Munnell had four saves and Alexis Cobbin had two. Malena Whitfield scored the only goal for the Indians. Girard goalkeeper Tiffany Brown made 10 saves.

Cardinal Mooney 9, Crestview 3


Liz Philibin had three goals and four assist, Breanna Evans had three goals and two assist and Lexy Saunders had two goals and an assist in the Cardinals’ victory. Caitlin Perry also scored for Cardinal Mooney and Carol Kay had two assists.

Newton Falls 7, Edgewood 1


Tara Backherms scored two goals and made an assist for the Tigers. Makenna Willyard, Sidney Drake, Hallie Stamm, Leighann Knorzer and Grace Wheeler scored the other goals. Earning assists were Breanna Frederick, Jordyn Bryner, Hannah Harnichar and Samantha Santone. Goalkeeper Michiah Butler made two saves and Kaitlin Conway made one. Newton Falls is 2-2. Edgewood is 0-4.


Boardman 25-19-25-15-15, Mooney 22-25-23-25-12


Haley Blangero had 14 kills and 19 digs, Kaylin Burkey collected 17 kills and Ashley Clark had 22 assists for the Spartans (2-0) in a marathon, five-game match. Autumn DeSantis had 18 kills, Taylor Martin added 12 and Jordyn Austin had 21 digs and Maria Pelini had 28 assists for the Cardinals (2-1).

Ursuline 25-25-25, Leetonia 17-20-16


Kristy Eckman had eight kills, seven digs, three points and two blocks in the Bears’ loss to the Irish. Leetonia’s Caitlin Lewis had 21 digs and Delaney Mellinger had 10 digs and 13 assists. No statistics were reported for Ursuline.

Girard 25-25-25, Southington 9-14-11


Carlie Angelo led the Indians with 13 kills and 11 points and Makayla Trebella added 11 kills and eight digs as Girard (2-1) swept Southington (2-2). Melanie Bakes led the Indians with 29 assists. Megan Payich (10 points, eight digs) and Loren Alejars (10 digs) also contributed to Girard’s victory. Miranda Miller had 16 digs for the Wildcats. JV: Girard, 25-16, 25-18.

Struthers 27-25-25, LaBrae 25-23-21


Karli Shives had 10 digs, eight kills and three aces for the Wildcats and Sophia Jackson had 22 assists, two digs and a kill and Michelle Buser had 11 digs and seven kills. Haylie Kiser led the Vikings with 14 digs, Arianna Geordan had 12 assists and Danielle Donce added two blocks.

Newton Falls 25-25-25-25, Poland 22-23-27-20


Izzy Kline led the Tigers (3-0) with 17 points, 16 kills, 12 blocks and seven aces, Olivia Hedge had 25 digs and 15 points and Kayla Barreca had 13 kills. Newton Falls also got 38 digs from Autumn Hutson and 35 assists from Elizabeth Boone. Shelby Berend led the Bulldogs with nine kills and Jillian Penman added eight kills. Jen Eich had seven kills and 19 assists. Sydney Phillips made five solo blocks and Logan Kountz had two. Carrigan Sundstrom scored four aces. JV: Poland, 2-1.

Niles 25-25-25, Campbell 14-8-13


Jane Parry had 27 assists and 18 points to lead the Red Dragons (1-1) to a three-game sweep. Myah Busse added 11 kills and three aces, Taylor Shaner had 11 points and three aces and Keara Taylor Hall had eight kills and a block. Emma Dellinger added seven digs. Dominique Sweney Grey had four kills, an ace and a dig, Selena Gomez had three digs and a kill and Kayla Gavlek had a block for the Red Devils. JV: Niles, 25-5, 25-6.

Columbiana 26-25-25, Mineral Ridge 24-14-20


Dee Dixon had nine kills, five digs and a block, Taylor Logan had seven kills and Emily Gosselin had 12 assists for the Clippers. Anna Bodo led the Rams with nine digs and five kills, Sarah Bacak had 10 assists three digs and two kills and Heaven Miller had 11 digs and two assists. JV: Mineral Ridge, 25-13, 25-15.
