Lexi Crown led the Indians with 11 kills and three blocks. Sydney Teter scored 14 points and contributed nine kills and two blocks. Carli Angelo made nine kills while Megan Payich scored 13 points with five aces and made seven digs. Melanie Bakes made 31 assists and Makayla Trebella made eight digs.

NEWTON FALLS

Elizabeth Boone scored 27 points and made 31 assists for the Tigers (1-0). Izzy Kline contributed 10 kills and eight blocks while Kayla Barreca made 10 kills. Autumn Hutson made 12 digs while Ashley Sembach contributed 12 points with three aces, 10 digs and six kills. For the Wildcats (0-1), Karli Shives made six kills, Torre Smrek made six digs and Sophia Jackson had 14 assists.

Brookfield’s Tori Sheehan led the Warriors in kills (7), aces (2) and blocks (3). Kenzie Drapola had 20 assists and Olivia Vogal had a team-high six points.

YOUNGSTOWN

Autumn DeSantis made 16 kills and three blocks for the Cardinals (1-0). Maria Pelini made 26 assists while Haylie Sapp made 13 digs. Courtney Koken made eight kills.

BEAVER TOWNSHIP

Grace Heath scored 11 points while Whitney Wallace made 11 kills for the Warriors (2-1). Elise Wallace made 30 assist and eight digs while Vernice Orniston contributed nine kills and eight blocks. For the Raiders (1-1), Codi Taylor made nine kills while Tara Naples made eight kills. Aurora Smith scored 11 points while 11 Cara Mason made six digs. JV: South Range, 25-15, 11-25, 25-23.

For the Tigers, Anna Bodo made 10 kills, 12 digs and two aces. Sabrina Stokes made 10 digs and four kills while Alexa Harkins made two blocks.

Bonnie Flynn made 35 kills and 21 digs while Hannah Brandenstein scored 13 points and made seven digs for the Lions (0-2). Sydney Ogden made 18 assists and 17 digs. JV: Heartland Christian, 25-23, 23-25, 25-20.

Hailie Durst had five aces and Kaylie Rowland had five digs. Autumn Miller collected eight assists and Kendyl Switzer had five kills and three blocks.

Mitchell Lindsay led the winning side with a hat trick and Mitchell Genova tacked on two more goals. CANFIELD

Anita Mancini scored a goal and added an assist to lead Canfield. Alana Petracci and Macey Malinky each added a score and freshman Chloe Kalina picked up her first varsity goal. Olivia VanDevender made five saves for the Cardinals and Lakeview’s Miranda Meffe stopped 15 shots.

Hubbard 3, Southeast 0

HUBBARD

Marissa Grande scored all three goals for the Eagles, one of which was assisted by Kyleigh Johnson. Alexis Cobbin made two saves for the winning team.

Poland 2, Champion 0

POLAND

Sarah Boccieri and Kaitlyn Shorter scored for Poland. Brianna Stackpole assisted both goals. Rachel Pugh made five saves for Poland. Champion’s Molly Williams had 18 saves in defeat.

South Range 4, Springfield 3

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Casey Lindstrom had a hat trick and assisted Lillian Kimpel’s goal for the Raiders. Haley LaMorticella, Anjelina Booksing and Anna Ohlin each found the net once for Springfield. Morgan Smith made 12 saves for South Range and Springfield’s Lex Slike made 10.

Valley Christian 3, Grand Valley 2

ORWELL

Logan Schnabl scored two goals and Alyssa Hall one for the Eagles. For Grand Valley, Alyssa Clason scored both goals.
