Girard High School Athletic Association, will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the high school.

GUILDS

Embroiderers Guild of America, Youngstown Area Chapter, will meet Tuesday. The morning session is at 10 a.m. and the evening session at 7:30 p.m. Both will be followed by the educational needlework program “Hardanger Candle Mat, Part II.” Guest stitchers are welcome. Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild has scheduled the following neighborhood group meeting: Southington So-Sews will meet Monday at 10 a.m. at Southington Christian Church, 3285 state Route 534. Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection will present “A Country Fair” from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. It will feature Marty Campana, auctioneer, and guest speaker Paula Abbott of Terrell, Texas, who will address “Freedom Behind Closed Doors.” The cost is $13.50 and includes lunch.
