PITTSBURGH — Keith Kaiser, formerly head of Mill Creek MetroParks’ Fellows Riverside Gardens, has taken over as interim president of Pittsburgh Botanic Garden, according to the garden’s website.
Kaiser worked for 27 years at Fellows.
Prior to that, he worked at Kingwood Center Gardens in Mansfield and Cleveland Botanical Garden. He earned a bachelor of science degree in ornamental horticulture from The Ohio State University.
Kaiser’s position as horticulture director for Mill Creek MetroParks was eliminated in February as part of a round of staff cuts.
He recently worked as a consultant for Firestone Park in Columbiana. He was hired by the Restoration and Beautification Committee of Columbiana to lead horticultural efforts there for a renovation project.
