Man faces charges after traffic stop yields drugs

YOUNGSTOWN — Police found a bag of heroin, marijuana and 16 painkiller pills in the car of a man who led police on a foot chase about 9:40 a.m. Monday.

Rashod Perry, 20, was pulled over for excessive window tint on Wellington Avenue. Reports said he drove away when an officer approached the car and pulled into a drive two houses down and ran away. He was found hiding near a tree in the 1600 block of Butler Avenue, reports said.

The drugs were found in the car, reports said.
