Tom Dudzick’s “Greetings!,SDRq directed by Eric S. Kildow, Kent Trumbull Theatre, 4314 Mahoning Ave., Warren, auditions 5 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 19 and 20. Actors will be provided cold readings from the script. Auditions are open to the public. The work follows Andy, who has a sweet Catholic mother, a sour Catholic father and an intellectually disabled younger brother named Mickey. When he brings his Jewish, atheist fiance to meet the folks on Christmas Eve, his worst fears about family blow-ups are realized. But when Mickey suddenly spouts the word “Greetings!,” the entire family’s belief system is turned upside down. Characters are: Andy Gorski, 33-year-old male; Randi Stein, 29-year-old female, Andy’s Jewish fiancee; Phil Gorski, mid-60s male, Andy’s father; Emily Gorski, mid-60s female, Andy’s mother; and Mickey Gorski, 30-year-old male, Andy’s brother, intellectually disabled but inhabited by a wise ancient spirit.
