State agency awards Trumbull County funds to fight neighborhood blight

COLUMBUS — Trumbull County Land Reutilization Corp. is one of the recipients to receive additional funding through the Ohio Housing Finance Agency to help prevent foreclosures and stabilize local property values through the demolition of vacant and blighted homes across the state.

The Trumbull County land bank received $982,616. Other land banks receiving a portion of more than $6.8 million available through the third funding round of the Neighborhood Initiative Program were in Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Lorain, Lucas, Montgomery and Richland counties.
