Fourth-grade students at C.H. Campbell Elementary School celebrated the end of their time at the school, and made some final memories, during their Fourth-Grade Picnic at Fair Park June 1.

The students were treated to a picnic lunch of Cocca’s Pizza and boneless wings by the PTO and parents who provided watermelon, cookies, brownies, chips and water.

Several PTO parent volunteers helped out with the lunch and games. Patti Palotsee served as picnic chairperson.

The students enjoyed time playing games, such as soccer, basketball, volleyball and whiffel ball, organized by Ronie Haurin, C.H. Campbell physical education teacher, and utilizing the school’s gaga pit and the playground at the park.

As an added bonus, the students were visited by Kona Ice, which gave each student a cup of Hawaiian shaved ice, courtesy of the PTO. The PTO also bought the students class T-shirts to wear on the last day of school.

After the picnic, the students returned to the school to watch their fourth-grade memory video.
