Crisis Shelter prepares for its 27th Gala Auction

The Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County will sponsor its 27th annual Gala Auction on March 28 at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, 110 E. Lincoln Ave.

Donations of new items are being accepted at 1218 W. State St., and all donated items are tax deductible as allowed by law.

The event will include sports memorabilia, Wagon of Cheer, a hand-crafted king-size quilt and more.

For information, to buy tickets at $40 each, to donate items or place an ad, stop in the office at 1218 W. State St. or call 724-652-9206. No tickets will be sold at the door.

The Crisis Shelter is the only domestic violence emergency shelter and sexual assault provider in the county and has been serving the county for more than 30 years. Programs include a 24-hour hotline, temporary emergency shelter, transitional housing, legal and medical advocacy, and individual and group counseling, including art and music therapy.
