YSU's Sracic to appear on CNN


YOUNGSTOWN — Paul Sracic, chairman of the Department of Politics and International Relations at Youngstown State University, will appear this week on CNN’s “Newsroom” to talk about the first Republican Party debate of the election season.

Sracic, co-author of the new book, “Ohio Government and Politics,” is scheduled to be on the program during the 9 a.m. block on Thursday and Friday. Sracic will provide “pre” and “post” analysis of the GOP primary debate, which is in Cleveland on Thursday night. Sracic will attend the debate.

A former Fulbright Lecturer in Japan, teaching at The University of Tokyo and at Sophia University, Sracic holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University and an A.B. in Political Science and Economics from Albright College.

Sracic often serves as a political commentator and is a frequent guest on international, national, and regional television and radio shows.
