Munnell Run Farm Day is Sept. 21

Munnell Run Farm, 747 Greenville Road, will celebrate its 10th annual Farm Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. next Sunday.

The event’s goal is to celebrate western Pennsylvania as well as the farm’s history by bringing together those who make the local heritage special.

Local artisans and crafters will be present to sell a wide variety of goods. A farmers market will sell a variety of food from the area, as well as food vendors. Civil War re-enactors also will be present.

The French Creek Living History Association will be on site as well as a quilt show sponsored by the Munnell Run Farm Quilt Guild. Musical entertainment will be provided by Mandolin Whiskey.

The red pig barn at the farm will house children’s activities. Scheduled events include a 1 p.m. nature walk and 3 p.m. family scavenger hunt through the woodlot.

Admission is free, but guests are urged to take a canned-food item to donate to the local community food warehouse.
