YOUNGSTOWN

A strongman competition and pig roast will take place Saturday at the Rust Belt Tap House, 112 W. Commerce St., downtown, sponsored by Rust Belt Brewing and Cleveland Whiskey.

Team BSS in Boardman will run the strongman competition, which is a series of events that test an athlete’s strength and endurance.

The competition will feature athletes from Ohio and surrounding states who will attempt to qualify to compete in a national competition that will take place in Indiana next year.

There is no admission fee for spectators.

The street will be blocked off during the event, which will include a pig roast and grilling of 100 pounds of bratwurst.

In addition, a representative from Cleveland Whiskey will be at the Tap House from 3 to 8 p.m. to talk about their products.

A DJ will provide entertainment beginning at 9 p.m.
