Saxon Ladies Society Branch 22 is sponsoring its 24th Annual Basket Auction on Sept. 7 in the ballroom at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, to benefit a scholarship fund for Youngstown State University students. Doors will open at noon, and the auction will begin at 2 p.m. with Casey Malone, host of the Casey Malone Show on 21 WFMJ TV, as auctioneer. Tickets will be $5 at the door and will include a door prize entry, hot dog, chips, coffee, pop or water, and 25 auction bidding tickets.


American Legion Unit 301 will host a Bingo Party Plus from 2 to 5 p.m. Sept. 21 at 3652 Oakwood Ave., Austintown. Doors will open at 1 p.m., and admission is $5. Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary will be hosting a giant rummage/tent sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday on the outside grounds at 1859 Depot Road in Salem. Junior Women’s League of Canfield is recruiting vendors for its 45th annual Fall Market on the Canfield Village Green. This year’s event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 20. Vendors including home-based businesses, art and craft merchandise and nonprofit organizations are welcome.
