The Association of Fundraising Professionals Mahoning-Shenango Chapter is taking reservations for the 2014 National Philanthropy Day luncheon, which will take place Nov. 14 at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8578 Market St. Registration will begin at 11 a.m.

Tickets are available at $30 and reservations are due by Wednesday. Payments can be made to the Association of Fundraising Professionals, P.O. Box 672, Youngstown, OH 44501.

Winners for this year’s awards are as follows: Outstanding Philanthropist, Eleanor Watanakunakorn of Canfield; Outstanding Corporate Philanthropist, WKBN TV-27; Outstanding Small Business Philanthropist, Walberg Family Pharmacies of Greenville, Pa.; Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser, Joanne Preston of New Castle, Pa.; Outstanding Civic Organization, Youngstown Air Reserve Base Community Council in Vienna; Outstanding Young Philanthropist, Caring Kids Club of Boardman; Legacy Award, presented in conjunction with the Mahoning-Shenango Planned Giving Council posthumously to an individual or family, Mr. and Mrs. Edward W. Powers; and Special Impact on the Valley, Rotary Club of Youngstown.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals represents more than 27,000 members in 180 chapters in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and China working through advocacy, research, education and certification programs. The Mahoning-Shenango Chapter has 60 active members, who host many educational workshops annually and the National Philanthropy Day celebration.
