Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will run on the Religion page. Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee. Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its registration deadline. Send the information to the Religion Desk by email to firstname.lastname@example.org; by fax to 330-747-6712 and marked for religion desk; or by mail to The Vindicator, P.O. Box 780, Youngstown, OH, 44501-0780. For verification, include a name and phone number of a contact person, which will not be published.
Canfield Presbyterian Church, 140 W. Main St., Canfield: Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield, is partnering with the Presbyterian church to sponsor “Workshop of Wonders” from 9 a.m. to noon June 23-27 at Canfield Presbyterian. The event is open to children from 4 years old through grade four. Cost is $10 per child, not to exceed $30 per family. Girard community churches, The session is planned from 9 a.m. to noon June 23-27 at Girard First United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St., for children from 4 years old to sixth grade. Enrollment forms are available at local churches. Registration is required, and the deadline for application is June 15. Participating churches are St. Rose Catholic Church, First Christian Church of God, Trinity Lutheran Church, First Baptist Church of Girard and Girard First United Methodist. Grace United Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel NW, Warren: ”Weird Animals” is the theme of the activity planned from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 8-12. A light dinner will begin the sessions for children who will participate in Bible adventures, games, experiments, missions, singing and friend-making. The activity is open to children from 3 years old to sixth grade. To register, call the church at 330-395-5231 between 9 a.m. and noon Monday through Thursday.
New Bethel Baptist Church, 1507 Hillman St., Youngstown: The free program will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 16-20 at the church for 5- to 16-year-olds. Pat Lee is VBS director.
