Staff report

YOUNGSTOWN

A gunman fired multiple shots Monday afternoon at a car containing a man and three children.

No one was injured, but police noted a flat tire, damaged windshield and damaged driver’s side door, caused by bullets.

The victim was sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle about 5:15 p.m., parked in an empty lot on Saranac Avenue on the city’s North Side. His three children, age 4, 2 and 11 months, were in the car’s backseat.

A vehicle drove up, and the driver fired 10 to 12 rounds into the parked car, according to a police report.
