Woman in Boardman assaulted by man on motorcycle

Published: Fri, May 9, 2014 @ 11:51 a.m.

BOARDMAN — Boardman police are investigating an assault of woman who reported she was punched by a man after she nearly caused a car accident.

The 18-year-old woman said she was turning into Speedway on East Midlothian Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday when she heard tires screech behind her and a motorcycle almost hit her.

The white male on the bike then came up to her and yelled at her for nearly causing him to hit her.

He then reached into a window and punched her with a closed fist on the left cheek twice, according to a police report.

The woman had minor swelling on her face and declined medical treatment.

She gave a description of a red-bearded male approximately 6 feet tall on a black sport bike with no visible license plate, according to a police report.

No arrests were made.

How is it determined 'she nearly caused a car accident.' ??
'she heard tires screech behind her' sounds to me like a speeding bike without assured clear distance.

Or it could be as so many drivers do these days: talk or text while driving and failure to use turn signals. Sadly some drivers can't get the "up for right and down for left" concept when it comes to signaling. Perhaps she slowed abruptly and didn't signal. If that's the case then she's too dumb to be driving. Those folks should use taxis or public transportation.

Yeah -it is right to speculate about the correct reasons for a boy on a motorcycle to punch a girl in a car twice in the face. Stupid possible texting !!!

As someone who has been riding motorcycles for over 25 years I place all blame on the motorcyclist. You always leave space between you and the car in front of you so you have an "out" in case something happens. As for punching the girl in the face...you are a low life piece of chit!
