ASSOCIATIONS

NARFE Chapter 14 will meet for its monthly luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown.

Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. There will be a presentation by Joseph Gibson on “Organization Tips and Tricks.” A business meeting will follow. For reservations, call Chris Simone at 330-540-8558.

AUXILIARIES

ITAM Veterans Ladies Auxiliary Canfield Post 2 will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Belleria on Meridian Road. Members are reminded to provide volunteer hours and donations for state and national reports. Plans for the Flapjacks for Vets fundraiser will be discussed.

Sebring American Legion Post 76 Auxiliary meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the post.

St. Elizabeth Health Center Auxiliary will meet at noon Monday in the private dining room of St. Elizabeth Health Center on Belmont Avenue. The speaker will be Bridgette Lackey, SEHC dietician, presenting “Health at Home.”

CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1962 will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Antone’s, 720 Boardman-Canfield Road in Boardman.

Woodrow Wilson High School January and June classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman. Members of the classes of 1946 and 1948 also are welcome.

Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1959 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Stonebridge Grille, 1497 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman.

CLUBS

College Club of Sharon will meet for a noon luncheon Saturday in the banquet room of Montana’s Chop & Steak House, Hermitage, Pa. Speaking will be Sherris Moreira, who will discuss “Women in Communications.” Joan Feeney and Doris DeForest will be the hostesses. No reservations are needed. Members and guests will order from the menu.

Mahoning Valley Retreads, a group of motorcyclists, will gather for breakfast and a meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday at Denny’s Restaurant, 4927 Mahoning Ave. in Austintown. Membership is open to all bikers. Yearly dues are $15 per person or $20 per couple. For information call 234-567-4001.

GROUPS

Metaphysical Insights 528 Group presents Sharon A. McKinney on “Numerology and More” when she speaks Wednesday at the S.C.O.P.E. Building, 220 W. Market St., Warren. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the program will begin at 7. Admission is $5 at the door.

The Transcendental Group will have its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Park Vista North Lounge, 1310 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. The focus of the May meeting is touch drawing, a method created by Deborah Koff-Chapin that allows individuals to have a deeper understanding of their inner self through finger painting. Youngstown Area Weavers Guild will meet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the Colonial Inn on the Canfield Fairgrounds in Canfield. A workshop on “Theo Moorman Techniques in Weaving” and the monthly meeting are planned. The workshop will be led by Liz Andraso. LIBRARY FRIENDS

Friends of Austintown Library will meet at 10 a.m. May 19 at the library. The speaker will be Tara Cioffi, administrator of the Mahoning-Trumbull Air Pollution Control Agency.

Friends of the Boardman Library will meet on Monday at the library. Refreshments will be served at 9:30 a.m., and the program, “Mathematics and Art,” will be presented by Dr. Angela Spalsbury at 10. Hostesses will be Renee Cole, Doris Almasy, Beverly Yurcisin and Beverly Gibson. Guests are welcome; no reservations are necessary. On the first and third Saturday of each month members will be at the library to accept donations of books, magazines, CDs and DVDs from 10 a.m. to noon. All profits help to support the summer reading program.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Mount Carmel Society of St. Rose Church will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the lower church.

St. Anthony’s Auxiliary will meet at noon Monday for a Mother’s Day Luncheon at Johnny’s Restaurant, Market Street, Boardman. The telephone committee will contact members for their reservations. Members may take guests. Arlene DeChellis will update the 2014 calendar.

St. Anthony Guild of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Pattie Rossi will preside, and hostesses are Eleanor De Luco, Rosemarie DeMichael, Clare Donchatz, Margaret Navarro-Filaccio and Rose Marie Fiore.

St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the parish house.

SERVICE CLUBS

Girard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Golf Dome, 1300 N. State St.

Kiwanis Club of Western Mahoning County will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m. at America Makes, 236 W. Boardman St., downtown Youngstown, for a tour of the 3-D facility. Space is limited so call Don Augenstein at 330-533-1700 to register.

SINGLES

D.A.R.E. Singles Group, which meets at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman, has planned the following: 10 a.m. Saturday, road trip to Grove City outlets; 6 p.m. Tuesday, play boccie in Boardman Park; 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bank; 7:30 p.m. Thursday, speaker night at church; and 6:30 p.m. May 16, movie night at Regal Cinema.

SOCIETIES

Salem Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Dale Shaffer Library meeting room, 239 S. Lundy Ave. After a short business meeting, the program “Reflections of Ponderosa Park,” will be presented by Tom Pauley.
