Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The Globe Restaurant, 6965 Truck World Blvd., Hubbard, will serve a chicken and biscuit dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. to benefit the Hubbard Historical Society. For each dinner served, the restaurant will make a contribution to the society. No reservations or advance tickets are necessary.


Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have its monthly drive-through chicken dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The dinner includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie for $6 per dinner. Call 330-549-2588 to reserve your dinners. Leave your phone number, the number of dinners you want and the approximate time you will arrive. Drive up to the door and someone will deliver the dinners to your car.

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge, will serve a drive through chicken and biscuit dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $7 each, and the youth will deliver the meals to your car. The proceeds will benefit a team of seven young people who are planning a mission trip to Chicago this summer.


American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m.: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese; chicken with fries; or shrimp with fries. Each meal includes coleslaw, rolls and beverage and is $8.50 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and free for those 3 and under. A fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw is $7, and a fish sandwich only is $5.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available. May 16 will be the last sale of the season.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available at 11 a.m.

Price Memorial AME Zion Church, 920 Dryden Ave., Youngstown, will sell Men’s Day fish dinners from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $8, and dinners include macaroni and cheese, green beans, coleslaw, bread and dessert. For information call 330-743-1339 or 330-743-1340.

The cost is $6 per dozen. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday; no containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Nicholas School will serve chicken parmigiana dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Great Hall, 764 Fifth St., Struthers. Dinners include pasta, salad, bread and butter and coffee or tea. Soft drinks and baked goods will be available for purchase. The prices are $9 for the chicken dinner and $6 for pasta only. Takeouts are available. Proceeds will benefit the eighth-grade class trip to New York City.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 to 11 a.m. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.


Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will serve a chicken pie dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The menu includes potato, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, bread, beverage and dessert. Negley Masonic Lodge, 50873 Richardson Ave., will host an all-you-can-eat soup night from 4 to 7 p.m. Oyster soup will be available for $7, and other soups will be $6. Children 12 and under will eat for $4. Takeout orders also are available.


St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 Route 422, Pulaski, Pa., will serve a breakfast brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children. The meal comprises French toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes with a choice of maple or peach syrup, scrambled eggs with peppers, onions or cheese, home fries, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, and coffee, tea, juices and milk.

VFW Post 2799 Ladies Auxiliary will serve a homestyle breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The menu consists of eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.


First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, will sell 15-inch homemade pepperoni rolls for $7 each and peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip cookies for $1 for a bag of four cookies. Pickup will be 3 to 4:30 p.m. May 17. Call 330-647-7515 to order by May 15.


Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will serve takeout cavatelli dinners May 14 from 3 to 6:30 p.m. or until sold out. Dinners will include two meatballs, homemade sauce, bread and butter, tossed salad and cookies for $8. Cavatelli with one meatball will cost $5. Fresh homemade pasta fagioli will be sold for $5 per quart. Place your order and remain in your car; your dinner will be delivered.
