Today’s entertainment picks are:

v Kentucky Derby party, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.: The Humane Society of Columbiana County will host Bands, Baskets, Bocce and Bar-B-Q at Guilford Lake Grille, 7094 E. Lake Road, Lisbon. Admission is $10, and a buffet for $5 will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. Call 330-420-5397 or 330-332-8622.

v Kite Festival, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Mill Creek MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Canfield, will host the springtime event. Call 330-533-7572.

v Sherlock Holmes Film Series, 2 to 4 p.m.: Get into the sleuthing mood with the master detective at Warren Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave., Warren. Call 330-399-8807.

v Youngstown Area Artists, noon to 5 p.m.: The event continues Sunday at Ward Bakery Building, 1024 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, where visitors may browse through artists’ studios to view and buy an array of handcrafted items.

v Mmm, mmm maple syrup, 1 p.m.: The sugar house at James L. Wick Jr. Recreation Area in Mill Creek MetroParks will be the site of story time for kids. Mill Creek volunteers will distribute maple-syrup samples.

“The Adjustment Bureau” (7 p.m., E!): This 2011 Matt Damon movie might be a documentary about baseball players.

“Launch My Restaurant” (9 p.m., Biography): Boy, NASA really is hurting for cash, isn’t it?

“Saturday Night Live” (10:30 p.m., NBC): “The Amazing Spiderman’s” Andrew Garfield hosts, and Coldplay performs.

“A Daughter’s Nightmare” (8 p.m., Lifetime): A college freshman (Emily Osment) worries that the mysterious man (Gregg Sulkin) who has befriended her lonely widowed mother might not have the best intentions in mind.
