TODAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. For takeouts or to order ahead call the church at 330-743-3175.

Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., will serve Lenten breakfasts from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. through April 16. Donations will be accepted. For information call 330-533-2246.

THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve a variety of fish and chicken meals from 3 to 7 p.m. The costs range from $5 to $8.50, depending on adult or child’s ticket and type of meal. For information call 330-654-5630.

Argus Lodge 545, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield, will serve a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the fellowship lodge. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 9 and under at the door. Carryouts will be available; call 330-533-3077.

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. The cost is $11.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935 will sponsor a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the hall, 122 S. State St. Dinners will cost $8 for adults and $4.50 for children 4 to 12. Those under 4 eat for free. Pop and water are an additional 50 cents each. Carryouts will be available. Call 330-545-3432.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available at 11 a.m.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Adult dinners are $10, and children’s are $5. There also will be a 50-50 raffle. St. Joseph Immaculate Heart of Mary eighth-grade class trip to New York City will earn 15 percent of all food sales.

National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 N. Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will be serving fish dinners from 3 to 7 p.m. every Friday during Lent, except Good Friday. The cost will be $11 for adults and $6 for children. Carryouts are available. For information call 330-538-3351.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato with cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday; no containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Brendan Church, 144 N. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, will serve sit-down or takeout fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. in the church hall. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Luncheon specials from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. are takeout only and include a sandwich and side for $6 or an entire dinner for $10. For takeout orders call 330-799-3683.

St. Maron Parish, 1555 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3 to 7 p.m. Dinners are $10 each. Tuna dinners will be available for $12. Pop and water will cost $1 each.

St. Patrick Church, 315 N. Main St., Hubbard, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Adult tickets are $9, and children’s, $7. Also available will be shrimp dinners with one side for $7 and pirogi, haluski, macaroni and cheese or ravioli dinners for $6. Call after 3 p.m. for carryouts at 330-534-4219.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken from 8 to 11 a.m. at 330-747-3024. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will serve its annual fish dinner from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Takeouts are available at 3 p.m. Adult tickets are $9, children’s are $4.50, and kids 4 and under eat free.

SATURDAY

Braceville United Methodist Church, 589 Park Road SW, off state Route 82 in the center of Braceville, will serve stuffed pork chop dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. or until sold out. The cost is $9 for adults and $3.50 for children. Takeouts will be available.

Girard United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St., will serve a creamed chicken and biscuit carryout dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The cost is $8 per person. Drive through and pick up at the back of the church.

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, will serve a community breakfast from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Free clothing will be distributed during the breakfast.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. for a donation. For information call the church at 330-549-2333.

SUNDAY

Burton-Middlefield Rotary will serve pancakes from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Berkshire High School, 14510 N. Cheshire St., Burton. Real Geauga County maple syrup will be included. The cost will be $8 for adults and $5 for 4 to 10. An omelet can be added for $3.

Community Gardeners will sponsor an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Patrick Church social hall, 1410 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown. The cost is $5. For information call 330-743-1009.

Holy Apostles Parish at Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, will serve a Swiss steak dinner from noon to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. A bake sale also will be available. For tickets call 330-270-1571. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Jackson Township Fire Dept. and Auxiliary will host a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the township building, 10613 Mahoning Ave., North Jackson. Adults are $5 and 5 to 12 cost $3, 4 and under eat free.

Knights of Columbus Council 3930 will serve a pasta dinner from noon to 5 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. The prices are $6.50 for adults, $3.50 for children 6 to 9, and free for kids under 6. There also will be a 50-50 raffle. All proceeds will benefit the Knights of Columbus charities.

Struthers Parkside Church, 110 Poland Ave., will host a Swiss steak dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Adult meals will cost $9, those for children ages 7 to 12 are $5, and 6 and under will eat free. Carryout will be available. There also will be a basket auction and 50-50 raffle. Tickets will be sold at the door.

Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown, will host a pork and sauerkraut dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $8.75 for adults and $5 for kids and includes dessert and coffee, tea or pop. Takeouts will be available.

TAKING ORDERS

Holy Apostles Parish is taking orders for kielbasa until April 6. Available are Croatian, Hungarian, Polish, Slovak and Slovene kielbasa for $7 per pound. Order forms are available at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, or St. Stephen of Hungary Church, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown. Completed forms can be placed in the collection baskets at the churches or mailed to the central office, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown, OH 44506. Pickup will be from 2 to 6 p.m. April 14 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church.

Simon Road Church of God, 4750 Simon Road, Boardman, is taking orders for nut, apricot, poppyseed and prune kolachi until April 6. The cost is $9 each, and pickup will be from 3 to 5 p.m. April 8. To order call 330-542-3884, 330-758-7447 or 330-758-5108.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, is taking orders for nut, nut with raisin, poppyseed and apricot kolachi for $12 each. Orders are due April 2, and pickup will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 5. Orders also are being taken for Easter bread with raisins for $9 each. The deadline is April 9, and pickup will be from 4 to 5 p.m. April 12. Call Charlene Bury at 330-519-5311 for all orders.

Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for stuffed cabbage and haluski through Sunday at 330-792-7068. Stuffed cabbage is $16 per dozen, and haluski is $5 per quart. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 5 and will include a bake sale.

UPCOMING

Holy Apostles Parish, St. Stephen of Hungary Church’s Holy Name Society, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown, will serve a pancake, egg and sausage breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. April 13. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children 6 to 12;, kids under 5 will eat for free. There also will be a basket auction at 11 a.m.; tickets are $5 for 26 and will be sold during the breakfast. Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will have a takeout pasta dinner from 3 to 6:30 p.m. or until sold out on April 2. A cavatelli dinner with two meatballs costs $8; a side of cavatelli and one meatball, $5; and homemade pasta fagioli, $5 per quart, limited quantities. Signs will direct you to the drive-through to place your order; Remain in your car, and your dinner will be delivered to you.

Youngstown American-Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., will serve chicken paprikash dinners from 1 to 3 p.m. April 6. The cost is $9. Take your own container for takeout dinners to save $1.25 container charge. Deadline for reservations and orders is April 3 by calling 330-792-5124.
