Wolford gets contract extension through 2016

Published: Tue, March 25, 2014 @ 2:39 p.m.

Youngstown State football coach Eric Wolford's contract extension will be through the 2016 season, a YSU spokesman said Tuesday.

The two-year contract has not been finalized, but is expected to be finished in the next 30 days. Details were not available. Wolford will coach the 2014 season under his original five-year deal signed in 2010.

Wolford has increased his win total in each of his four seasons, from three wins in 2010 to eight wins last fall.
