YOUNGSTOWN

The Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown and Surrounding Areas will test your soil for free at 7 p.m. April 2 at the Davis Center, 123 McKinley Ave., located in Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park.

Take a dry soil sample for testing. You will need to dig 6 to 8 inches deep in garden soil or 2 to 6 inches in sod.

The meeting will have two speakers, John Burgan of Burgan Real Estate on the topic “Curb Appeal,” and Eric Barrett of the Extension Education Office and an assistant professor at Ohio State University, whose topic will be “Natural Organic Lawn Care for Ohio and Lime and the Home Lawn.”

The public is welcome.
