Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, active exercise at 8 a.m., 30 minutes with God at 9, painting class at 9:15, bingo at 10, beginner computer class at 10:30, senior spinning at 11, and advance computer class, grief recovery and bag lunch at noon; Tuesday, active exercise at 8 a.m., container gardening class at 9, bingo and Youngstown Women’s Club at 10, line dancing at 11, quilting class at 11:30, lunch at noon, chair yoga and conversational Spanish at 12:30 and AARP Notables at 1 p.m.; Wednesday, active exercise at 8 a.m., 30 minutes with God at 9, bingo and fountain of youth fitness at 10, senior spinning at 11, tai chi and pizza party ($3) at noon, movie matinee at 12:30 p.m. and ballroom dancing class at 1; Thursday, active exercise at 8 a.m., woodcarving and Greece and Turkey class at 9, chair yoga at 9:15, SOS at 9:30, Vets Helping Vets at 10, beginner crocheting at 11 and dinner and grocery bingo at 5 p.m.; and Friday, active exercise at 8 a.m., tax preparation at 9, bingo and discussion group at 10, senior spinning at noon and My Olde Car meeting at 7 p.m. For information call 330-953-1416 or visit www.austintownseniorcenter.webs.com.

Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. Angel volunteers receive training to become advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a friendly phone call, a visit in a nursing home or a visit at home. Angels also are involved in planning special events for seniors such as health fairs and Make a Difference Day projects. Lordstown S.C.O.P.E. Center, 1776 Salt Springs Road, has planned the following: Mondays, penny ante poker at 1 p.m., lessons provided; Tuesdays, canasta at 1 p.m., lessons provided; Wednesdays, knitting and crocheting for all skill levels from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m.; and April 9 will be the next book club meeting at 10 a.m. “Lydia Bailey” by Kenneth Roberts will be discussed. Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center, 14 E. State St., has planned the following: Wednesday, lunch ($3) at 11:30 a.m. and bingo (cards 25 cents each) at 1 p.m.; every third Wednesday monthly is a fundraiser VIP birthday party with lunch and entertainment for $6, preregistration is required for VIP party only. Senior Independence Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following: Monday, income tax filing at 9 a.m., Community Fun Day and needlecraft at 10, bridge at 1 p.m. and Drums Alive at 2:30 p.m.; Tuesday, brush, knife and needle club at 10 a.m., and beginner and intermediate bridge at noon; Wednesday, watercolors at 10 a.m., tap class at noon, 500 card club (players needed) at 1 p.m. and line dancing at 1:30; Thursday, Watch Our Weight and woodcarvers at 9 a.m., Boardman Fun Day at 10, computer classes at 10 and noon, exercise at noon and advance computer at 2 p.m.; and Friday, income tax filing at 9 a.m., Youngstown Fun Day and Wii bowling at 10, card and board games at noon, movie matinee at 1 p.m. and cornhole at 2.
