DeMartino receives Presidential Cup

Olivia DeMartino, of Canfield, received her Presidential Cup after earning 11 years of superior ratings in the National Federation of Music Club.

DeMartino has been a piano student of Audrey Rhinehart for 11 years and has been in the Guild Audition each of those years. She recently earned the Paderewski Award for performing at the Guild Audition for 10 years. She is presently working on her Guild High School Diploma which will be performed in May of 2014.

DeMartino is a senior at Canfield High School. She is an honors student and was inducted into National Honors Society her junior year. She has played the clarinet in the Cardinal Pride Marching Band for four years and the Canfield Symphonic Band for three. In addition she is also an accompanist for the Chamber Ensemble and sings alto in the ensemble. She has been band representative for her grade all four years. Both the band and choir have received superior ratings each year.

DeMartino enjoys competitive golf and has been on the Canfield Varsity team for four years. Her junior and senior year she has received the AAC first team award and second team Northeast Ohio coaches pick. Her team also qualified for state her senior year. In addition she has placed in a variety of tournaments and has received Rookie of the year her freshman year, most improved coaches pick her sophomore year and most consistent her senior year.

Her parents are Tony and Gail DeMartino.
