ALLIANCES

Ohio Cultural Alliance will meet for dinner at 6 p.m. April 7 at Holy Family Church hall, 2729 Center Road, Poland. Judy Solomon will present “Old World Traditions Lost and Retained — Jewish.” Traditional Jewish food will be served, and a klezmer band led by Ron Eiselstein will provide cultural enrichment. Reservations should be mailed to OCA, P.O. Box 561, Canfield, OH 44406, no later than April 1. Those attending are asked to take nonperishable food items for the Gleaners Food Bank.

ASSOCIATIONS

Gold Wing Road Riders Association Chapter M, Mahoning Valley, will have its monthly meeting Saturday at Yankee Kitchen, 6635 Market St., Boardman. Dinner will begin at 5 p.m., and the meeting will follow at 6. All motorcycle enthusiasts and their families are welcome. It is not a requirement to own a Gold Wing to be a member.

Mill Creek Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will meet at 6 p.m. April 8 at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. The speaker will be Janet Thomas of Shop.com. The menu comprises assorted croissant sandwiches with side salads, coffee or tea and dessert. Tri-Gold Prime Time Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will celebrate its 10th anniversary during a Celebration of Spring dinner April 9 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. The social will begin at 5:30 p.m., and a sit-down dinner will take place at 6. The cost is $21.50 per person, and reservations are due April 1; call 330-757-9368. Dinner choices are baked white fish, chicken francaise or Swiss steak jardiniere with redskin potatoes, glazed carrots, tossed salad, rolls and butter. Ice cream and cake are included. Entertainment will be provided by the Youngstown Connection. Guests are welcome, but reservations are required.

CLASSES

Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1959 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Stonebridge Grille, 1497 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman. All are welcome.

CLUBS

Canfield Republican Women’s Club dinner is set for 6 p.m. April 2 at A La Cart Catering, Lisbon Street in Canfield. The menu will consist of Caesar salad, herbed chicken in puff pastry, francaise blend vegetables and lemon meringue pie. The cost is $15 per person. The guest speaker will be Judge Carol Robb, Columbiana County Municipal Court. Reservations are due no later than Thursday to Jacie Mettee, 330-207-9210, or respond to the email.

College Club of Sharon will host an English High Tea at 1 p.m. April 12 at First Presbyterian Church of Sharon fellowship hall, 600 E. State St., Sharon, Pa. Roberta Butchy will present “Camelia Sinensis 101,” the history of tea. Reservations are due April 1 to Carole Barker, 724-383-4068. Hats and gloves are encouraged but optional. There is no cost. Any woman with a bachelor’s or associate degree from an accredited college or university is eligible for membership. LIBRARY FRIENDS

Friends of Austintown Library will meet at 10 a.m. Monday in the community room of the library, 600 S. Raccoon Road. The speaker is Michael Cizmar, special agent-coordinator of the FBI/Mahoning Valley Violent Crimes Task Force.

POLITICAL CLUBS

Girard Men’s Democratic Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Parkwood Youth Center.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Altar and Rosary Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday for the rosary, and a meeting will follow in the church hall.

St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the parish house.

Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection will host a luncheon, A Bright and Shiny April, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 9 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The program will feature Keepsakes Etc. by JoAnn Shirilla, and Linda Kristophel will provide music and present “You Are Beautiful.” The cost is $13, which includes lunch. D.A.R.E. Singles Group, which meets at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman, has planned the following: 7 p.m. Saturday, bowling at Boardman Lanes; 7 p.m. Tuesday, dance classes at Judy Conti’s in Austintown; 7:30 p.m. Thursday, game night at the church; 6 to 10 p.m. March 28, card night at Denny’s in Boardman.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Alzheimer Network Family Support Group will meet as follows: Monday, at 1:30 p.m. at Easter Seals Adult Day Care Center, 721 Boardman-Poland Road, Boardman; and Tuesday, at 6:30 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Education Building, 251 S. Broadway Ave., Salem. For information call 330-788-9755.

Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver Support Group will meet at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St.

Caregiver Support Group, which provides information and lends support to individuals caring for loved ones going through any disease process, will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, in the private dining room. Connie Morgan, Park Vista’s director of social services, and Diana Hartwig, Park Vista social worker, will facilitate. It is open to all caregivers in the Mahoning Valley.
