Read Tuesday’s Vindicator to see if you are entitled to unclaimed funds

YOUNGSTOWN — Ohio Department of Commerce Director Andre T. Porter urges Mahoning County residents to read Tuesday’s edition of The Vindicator to find out if they are entitled to unclaimed funds turned over to the state Division of Unclaimed Funds in the past year. Unclaimed funds are money or the rights to money that have been dormant or forgotten. Some examples include: dormant checking and savings accounts, forgotten rent and utility deposits, uncashed checks, undelivered stock certificates, and uncashed insurance policies.

The listing in Tuesday’s newspaper will include 3,545 unclaimed funds accounts worth $2,856,324.60.
