Harassment workshop will be offered

Delphine Baldwin-Casey, consultant and a retired detective sergeant with the Youngstown Police Department, will present a sexual-harassment workshop from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 28 at Holiday Inn, 7410 South Ave.

The event is part of March Women’s History Month and will address discrimination and harassment in the workplace and its many forms.

Registration and a continental breakfast will take place from 8 to 8:45 a.m.

Sessions include talking and learning about harassment with Baldwin-Casey; recognizing sexual harassment, gender discrimination in the workplace and tips to protect your legal rights, employee and employer by Atty. Ted Roberts, employment and labor law; sexual harassment is not always about sex by Michelle Crew, Cleveland Equal Employment Opportunity Commission outreach office; EEOC overview of the process and discussion by Marcel Baldwin, EEOC federal investigator, Cleveland office; and group discussions.

The cost is $60 per person and will include a continental breakfast, speakers and 3.75 continuing-education units total hours for social services.

The course has been approved by the Supreme Court of Ohio’s Commission on Continuing Legal Education for four total hours continuing legal education with one hour of ethics instruction for attorneys and a certificate of completion.
