Trials set for 2 young men in Ohio teen's slaying

LEBANON, Ohio (AP) — Trial dates have been set for two 19-year-old men charged with aggravated murder in the slaying of a southwest Ohio teen whose body was dumped several counties away.

Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell says a judge set a Sept. 22 trial in Lebanon for Austin Myers, who is homeless. The trial for Timothy Mosley, of Dayton, is scheduled to start Nov. 5.

The defendants also are charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, kidnapping, grand theft of a firearm, tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse and safecracking. Both have pleaded not guilty to all charges in the Jan. 28 slaying of 18-year-old Justin Back of Wayne Township.

Fornshell says Back was choked and stabbed and then was shot after he died.

The defendants could face the death penalty if convicted.
