YOUNGSTOWN

Protestant Family Service of Youngstown is joining Rhode Island philanthropist Alan Shawn Feinstein’s 17th “Annual $1 million Giveaway to Fight Hunger” campaign.

The Feinstein Foundation will distribute $1 million among hunger-fighting agencies nationwide to help them raise funds until April 30. Donations or pledges made to Protestant Family Service, 496 Glenwood Ave., Suite 115, Youngstown, will be counted for the hunger challenge. Donations made by Mahoning Valley residents will stay in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties, local officials said.

Donations and pledges can be monetary or food items (valued at $1 per item or pound).
