Former Warren schools worker sentenced in firearms case

Published: Wed, March 5, 2014 @ 2:14 a.m.

WARREN

Honeya D. Price, 42, of Perkinswood Boulevard Northeast, former family liaison at Warren City Schools’ Lincoln K-8 building, has been sentenced to five years’ probation for improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

She pleaded guilty earlier in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court after Warren police said she brandished a firearm in the parking lot of the Elm Road Giant Eagle while off work in early 2013.

Price gave up her job in a settlement agreement last fall with the Warren school board. The agreement followed legal action Price filed against the district after the district terminated her employment in early 2013.
