FOOD SALES AND DINNERS

TODAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. For takeouts or to order ahead, call the church at 330-743-3175.

Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., will serve Lenten breakfasts from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. today. Donations will be accepted. For information call 330-533-2246.

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. The cost is $11.

Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935 will sponsor a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the hall, 122 S. State St. Dinners will cost $8 for adults and $4.50 for children 4 to 12. Those under 4 eat for free. Pop and water are an additional 50 cents each. Carryouts will be available. Call 330-545-3432.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Adult dinners are $10, and children’s are $5 each. There also will be a 50-50 raffle. St. Joseph Immaculate Heart of Mary eighth-grade class trip to New York City will earn 15 percent of all food sales.

THURSDAY

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have takeout chicken dinners available from 3:30 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $6. No need to preorder or get out of the car. Just drive to the front of the church, and your meal will be ready.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will have a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out. The meal costs $7.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve a variety of fish and chicken meals from 3 to 7 p.m. The costs range from $5 to $8.50, depending on adult or child’s ticket and type of meal.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available at 11 a.m.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato with cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday; no containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Brendan Church, 144 N. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, will serve sit-down or takeout fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. in the church hall. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. An extra piece of fish is $5, and extra sides are $3. Luncheon specials from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. are takeout only and include a sandwich and side for $6 or an entire dinner for $10. St Patrick Church, 315 N. Main St., Hubbard, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Adult tickets are $9 and children’s, $7. St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken from 8 to 11 a.m. at 330-747-3024. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will serve its annual fish dinner from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Takeouts are available at 3 p.m. Adult tickets are $9, children’s are $4.50, and kids 4 and under eat free.

Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, 155 Tod Ave. NW, Warren, will sell fish dinners from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. or until gone. Meals are $10 for adults and $5 for children 4 to 11; kids under 4 eat free.

SATURDAY

Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will serve chicken pie dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Tickets cost $9 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12. Preschoolers will eat for free. Takeouts are available. For information call 330-638-5189.

Negley Masonic Lodge will host a creamed chicken over biscuits dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the lodge, 50873 Richardson Ave. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Takeout orders also are available.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will host an all-you-can-eat pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under.

VFW Post 6488 will host a spaghetti dinner from noon to 6 p.m. at the post home, 2065 Coitsville-Hubbard Road. Tickets are $7 for all you can eat.

SUNDAY

Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary will host a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Salem Italian American Club, 250 Penn Ave. Tickets may be purchased in advance at 330-332-4897 or at the door. The cost is $7; children under 5 eat for free. The event also will feature a basket auction, 50-50 raffle and a carryout bake sale. Carryout dinners will be available by calling 330-337-8817. All proceeds benefit the animals at Alchemy Acres.

Burton-Middlefield Rotary will serve a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Berkshire High School, 14510 N. Cheshire St., Burton. The cost will be $8 for adults and $5 for 4 to 10. An omelet can be added for $3.

Happy Hearts Junior Croatian Tamburitzans will serve an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Hall, 421 Covington St., Youngstown. The cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 13 and free for kids 5 and under. Apple or cheese strudels, baked or raw, may be ordered ahead for pickup by calling Windi Kresic at 330-980-9384.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Via Mount Carmel, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church hall. Cost is $7 for adults and $4.50 for children. All carryouts are $7; containers are 75 cents or you can provide your own.

TUESDAY

First United Methodist Church, 210 S. Main St., Columbiana, will serve a drive-through ham dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The cost is $7. There is no need to get out of your car. Follow the signs on Pittsburgh Street.

TAKING ORDERS

First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, will be selling 15-inch homemade pepperoni rolls for $7 each, potato soup and chicken noodle soup for $5 a quart and $3 a pint, and fresh-baked bread for $1.50 a loaf. To order call 330-647-7515 by March 13. Pickup will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. March 15.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, is taking orders for nut, nut with raisin, poppyseed or apricot kolachi for $12 each. Order by April 2 and pickup will be 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 5. Call Charlene Bury at 330-519-5311. Orders also are being taken for Easter bread with raisins for $9 each. Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., Youngstown is taking orders for stuffed cabbage at 330-792-5124 until Thursday. The cost is $13 for a dozen rolls. Take your own containers and save $1.25 fee. Pickup will be March 13, 14 and 15.

UPCOMING

Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmont Ave., Youngstown, will sell soup from 1 to 2 p.m. every Wednesday during Lent. March 12 will feature beef vegetable for $6 per quart. For information call 330-788-8707.
