Dunn will leave YSU March 21, with no further pay

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown State University President Randy Dunn will leave the university March 21 and receive no pay after that.

He and his wife will vacate university-owned Pollock House within 30 days of that date.

Dunn will be provided COBRA temporary health insurance through June 30.

Dunn's contract amendment was approved by YSU trustees at a meeting tonight, and came after Dunn surprised the university and community last month by accepting a job as president of Southern Illinois University after only seven months on the job here.

Dr. Sudershan Garg, YSU Board of Trustes chairman, characterized negotiations between Dunn and trustees as cooperative.
