CAMPBELL

A weekend’s worth of work, much of it by the police department’s special-investigations unit team, produced 10 drug-related arrests, all of which were the result of traffic stops.

Police Chief Drew Rauzan said the SIU team, which focuses exclusively on combating drug trafficking, is “raising everyone’s level of expectations and performance” — including his own.

“Officers are willing to come out in excess of their 40 hours a week, and are taking time away from their personal lives to help the city of Campbell,” Rauzan said. “In just a few hours on Saturday, they put several people in jail, and took narcotics and narcotics-related cash off the streets.”

Arrested on Saturday and Sunday were:

Terrance Torelle Phillips, 26, of West Boston Avenue in Campbell, charged with trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, and driving under suspension.

Tre Aaron Phillips, 19, of 12th Street in Campbell, charged with trafficking in drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing official business. He also had a warrant for his arrest from the Liberty Township Police Department for drug possession. Between Terrance Torelle Phillips and Tre Aaron Phillips, police confiscated $866 in cash and six bags of suspected marijuana totaling 85 grams.

Andre Green, 24, of Baker Street in Youngstown, charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Police confiscated five pills identified as Schedule II narcotics and a large bag containing numerous small bags of suspected marijuana.

Taylor Reid Morrison, 19, of Appleridge Drive in Lewis Center, Ohio, charged with fifth-degree felony count of drug possession, a first-degree misdemeanor count of drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and operation of vehicle at stop signs, as well as for having objects hanging from the rearview mirror and obstructing the view to the front.

Timothy R. White, 22, of Shanley Drive in Columbus, charged with a fifth-degree felony count of drug possession, a first-degree misdemeanor count of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. From Hayden Gene Morrison, Taylor Reid Morrison and White, police confiscated 8.7 grams of suspected marijuana, seven burnt marijuana cigarettes, a pill identified as a Schedule II narcotic, a scale, a pipe in the shape of a deer, and two other pipes containing suspected burnt marijuana.

Louis Justice, 24, of Northgate Avenue in Youngstown, charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and operation of vehicle at stop signs. Police confiscated 1.6 grams of suspected marijuana.

Steven Vines, 54, of Katherine Street in Struthers, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and operation of vehicle at stop signs. Police confiscated a marijuana grinder.
