Campbell cop finds pipe bomb in car

CAMPBELL

A Struthers man faces a felony charge of unlawful possession of a dangerous ordnance after city police found a pipe bomb in his car during a traffic stop.

Paul J. Trimacco, 32, of West Faith Street was also charged with failure to secure a dangerous ordnance, as well as for driving under suspension and for not stopping at a stop sign.

Trimacco was pulled over by police at about 1:15 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Seventh Street for the latter offense. The Youngstown police bomb squad was called out shortly afterward to disarm the pipe bomb, which was made of PVC pipe.

Trimacco is set to appear in Campbell Municipal Court on Tuesday.
