Playhouse extends its run of ‘Morrie’

Staff report

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Playhouse is extending its current production, “Tuesdays With Morrie.”

Due to overwhelming response, two additional performances have been added to the sold-out run: July 11 and July 12 at 7:30 p.m. both nights.

The play is in the Moyer Room of the Playhouse, off Glenwood Avenue.

Directed by Brendan P. Byers, “Tuesdays With Morrie” is based on Mitch Albom’s autobiographical best-selling book and Emmy award-winning television film.

The true story is about Albom’s weekly visits with his dying former professor, whose wisdom prompted Albom to change his life.

The cast of the Playhouse production includes Victor Garcia as Morrie, Jason A. Green as Mitch, and Karen Gagliano as Connie, with Pat McCleery serving as production stage manager.

For reservations for the additional performances, call the box office at 330-788-8739.
