On MVSD board

Youngstown

Mayor John A. McNally appointed Jamael Tito Brown, who he beat in last year’s Democratic primary for mayor, as his representative to the Mahoning Valley Sanitary District board of directors. The MVSD operates Meander Reservoir, source of the city’s drinking water.

The appointment is for three years, which began Wednesday and ends June 24, 2017.

Brown is a former 2nd Ward councilman and city-council president.

Also, McNally appointed Porfirio Esparra Jr. to the city’s board of health. That term expires March 31, 2019.

The tour starts and ends with the Robins, which closed in 1974. Along the way, the tour also will include other “hidden” locations, such as the Masonic Lodge, new Artisan Cafe on Main Street and a view of Market Street from the highest commercial building in Warren. A $7 donation is suggested.

Jamael "Tito" Brown represented the 3rd Ward not the 2nd. I guess all of Youngstown's wards look the same to some people.
