Oak, maple leaves have dots, horns?

Jumping oak galls and spindle galls are prevalent this year. Don’t worry; these are tiny insects (wasps and mites) and won’t actually jump at you. Most galls do not cause significant damage to tree leaves. Think of this as a cool biology lesson for the kids.
