Published: Thu, June 26, 2014 @ 12:22 p.m.

YOUNGSTOWN — Victory Church in Liberty is offering free admission to Youngstown’s North Side Pool to the first 200 kids to show up starting at 1:45 p.m. today, said Robert Burke, the city’s park and recreation director.

Admission for children to the pool is $1.

The church is also providing free hot dogs and bottled water to those kids, Burke said.

Mayor John A. McNally is paying for 50-cent ice-cream cones at the nearby Dairy Queen for the kids.

In an article you ran June 17, it said that they couldn't charge to swim at the pool because they got a grant. How come they are charging.
