Annual orthopedic and safety fair

The annual orthopedic and safety fair at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, an affiliate of ValleyCare Health System of Ohio, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

This free community event, open to all ages, will be in the hospital’s main parking area at 1350 E. Market St.

The event includes a variety of health and community displays, free health screenings, safety and health information, a blood drive for the American Red Cross, kids’ fingerprinting, a smoke safety trailer, bike and car seat safety tips, and a texting-while-driving simulator. Orthopedic and emergency physicians and staff will be on hand to answer questions.

Adults and kids can test their throwing skills at a dunking booth that will serve as a fundraiser for Warren Family Mission, a nonprofit, faith-based family resource center dedicated to serving residents of Trumbull County.

A firetruck, ambulance and helicopter will provide kids and adults a close-up view of emergency vehicles. Hot dogs, snacks and refreshments will also be available.
