ASSOCIATIONS

Mill Creek Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will meet for a picnic-style gathering at 6:30 p.m. July 8 at the Georgeanna Parker Activity Center, Boardman Park, 375 Boardman-Poland Road, Boardman. Chicken, dessert and beverages will be provided. Members may dress casually and are reminded to take side dishes to share. Call Jackie Fischio, 330-788-6634, on side dishes needed. CLASSES

POLITICAL CLUBS

Girard Men’s Democratic Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Parkwood Youth Center.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Alliance Lighthouse Aglow International will meet at 10 a.m. July 1 at Alliance Christian Center, 670 W. Main St. Cheryl Herr, a counselor for those with substance abuse and addictions, will be the speaker, and a donation of $3 is requested. Take snacks or finger foods to share. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Altar and Rosary Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church for the rosary followed by a meeting in the church hall.

Youngstown South ChristianWomen’s Connection will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 9 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The theme is “Hooray for the Red, White and Blue,” and it will feature handbags and homemade jewelry by Nancy and Sandy. Music will be provided by Nancy Williams, who also will be the guest speaker on the topic “You Are Priceless.” The cost is $13 and includes lunch. SINGLES

D.A.R.E. Singles Group, which meets at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman, has planned the following: 6 p.m. Monday, DQ night in Cornersburg; 6 p.m. Tuesday, play boccie in Boardman Park; and 7:30 p.m. Thursday, small-talk night at the church.

SOCIETIES

Lake Milton Historical Society will have its monthly meeting at 11 a.m. Thursday at Halliday’s Winery.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Alzheimer Network Family Support Group will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Easter Seals Adult Day Care Center, 721 Boardman-Poland Road, Boardman, and at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Education Building, 251 S. Broadway Ave., Salem. For information call 330-788-9755.

Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver Support Group will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St., Canfield. The group is free and open to all caregivers, family members and friends with a loved one living with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia. F.O.C.U.S. Breast-Cancer Survivors will gather at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Belleria, 8485 Market St. in Boardman. All breast-cancer survivors are welcome.

Nar-Anon, a 12-step program for relatives and friends who have been adversely affected by a loved one’s addiction to drugs, meets at 7 p.m. tonight and every Friday at the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, 160 Clifton NE, Howland; and every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Paige & Byrnes Insurance, 425 Niles-Cortland Road SE, Howland.
