Poland Seminary High School announces student scholarships

Poland High School has announced the students from the class of 2014 who have received scholarships.

Jacob Aiello received the Top Dog Award ($500) and the George and Lois Barton Memorial Scholarship ($500).

Alex Ankerman received the Youngstown State University Red and White Scholarship (8,000), the Poland Rotary Scholarship ($1,000), the Poland Presbyterian Church Oscar, Mayme & Richard Olson Memorial Scholarship (1,000), the PSHS Senior Class Scholarship ($500), the Poland Junior Women’s Club Scholarship ($500), the Brian J. Wolf STEP Scholarship ($500) and the Poland Education Association Memorial Scholarship ($500).

Michael Audi received the Youngstown State University Red and White Scholarship ($8,000).

Jessica Augustine received the Youngstown State University Red and White Scholarship ($8,000), the Wolves Club Scholarship ($4,400) and the R.J. Wean, Jr. Scholarship (4,000).

Kayle Augustine received the Youngstown State University Red and White Scholarship ($8,000) and the Wolves Club Scholarship ($4,400).

Jamie Bakalar received the Youngstown State University First Opportunity Scholarship ($4,000), the First Catholic Slovak Union Scholarship Award ($750) and the PSHS Senior Class Scholarship ($500).

Devin Beaumier received the University of Akron Scholarship for Excellence ($24,000), the University of Akron Honors Achievement Scholarship ($2,000), the Poland Presbyterian Church Molly Halter Memorial Scholarship ($500) and the Poland Presbyterian Church George & Mary Hoover Memorial Scholarship ($500).

Alexis Benedis received the Ohio University Achievement Scholarship ($12,000), the Ohio University Pathway Scholarship (12,000) and the Ohio University Distinction Scholarship ($4,000).

Allison Berend received the Youngstown State University Deans’ Scholarship ($12,000).

Stephen Bissell received the Ohio Valley University Soccer Scholarship ($32,000).

Zachary Black received the Penn State University Academic Grant ($4,800), the Ohio State Trapshoooting Association Scholarship ($2,000), the Penn State University Wilson Matthew J. Honors Scholarship ($1,000) and the Penn State Alumni of Greater Youngstown Allen Udell Memorial Scholarship ($1,000).

Robert Boano received the Youngstown State University Red and White Scholarship ($8,000).

Bridget Bobby received the Waynesburg University Award ($28,000) and the Waynesburg University Grant ($24,012).
