Rustbelt Theater, 755 Mahoning Ave., inside the Calvin Center, will be the location of the release of “Bald is Beautiful Too,” by local author Monica Beasley-Martin.
The release and signing will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
About 1 in 1,000 children has alopecia areata, or balding in spots. Monica Beasley-Martin, who herself battles this disorder, wrote this children’s book to educate and to discourage bullying. She will be reading her book, as well as signing copies of books that are purchased.
The book signing will be in conjunction with U.N.Act’s Family Night and Open Mic, which will begin at 6 p.m.
